Blog Schedule

I’ve been having trouble coming up with ideas for the blog. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, I’m really not that interesting. I love to write stories that give people lives much more exciting, dangerous, and thrilling than my own. It’s fun, exciting, and I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life.

Writing novels, however, is much different than writing blog posts. I never know what to say, how I’ll be perceived, or what backlash I may incur. Yeah, I actually think about these things. My brain is going twenty-four/seven. The world is often very loud to me, which is why I like getting lost in my stories, having a fan on for white noise at night, and putting on headphones when I’m walking around in the world.

Hey, I said I was boring, I never said I wasn’t strange.

Anyway, back to the point. In order to keep the blog going without long splotches of quiet, I’m going to incorporate a blog schedule, a sort of meme thing that I’ll be posting to every week. Sure, I’ll have other personalized posts and maybe a short story or two in between, but this gives me some guidance and an idea of what to post. Once I have the schedule set, I won’t feel like digging my fingers into brain and swirling around the gray matter to come up with an idea.

Sometimes, templates are good.

So, starting tomorrow, this will be the new itinerary for Romancing With Danger.

Sunday: Snippets – Bits about what’s going on in my writing world
Monday: Man Candy – Male characters I love and why.
Tuesday: Tastings – Food I like or want to try
Wednesday: Watching’s – Something on TV I love, whether past or present.
Thursday: Novels – Books I love and would recommend.
Friday: Facts – Things I’ve learned, whether about writing or life.
Saturday: Something Happened – Just a recap of something that happened during the week that I want to talk about.

I still can’t promise it’s going to be interesting, but at least it keeps my blog from having tumbleweeds blowing through.
