This year flew by in a flash! Not to be confused with the actual Flash. Even though I’m absolutely loving that TV show, but yeah, this year has gone by about as fast as he runs. All in all, I have to say it’s been a good year too. I feel like I’ve evolved with my writing, and that I’ve met so many new and wonderful people in the career field I want to be in. Yes, my goal is to be a professional writer. Crazy and out of this world, but hey I’ve had the dream since I was seven. Now that I actually see it as something obtainable, I’m just screaming to myself IT’S ALL GOING TO BE WORTH IT IN THE END!
I keep hoping it will be. It’s definitely not an easy path, and I’ve made some poor choices in the past. If I’d been more focused on my goals when I was younger, I can’t help but think I’d be a lot farther in life now.
Of course, that’s the kicker. A lot of people think the same thing. The good thing about society today is that being a non traditional student isn’t unheard of. In fact, it’s more convenient with part time, night classes, and online courses. The first year I was back in school, I worked full time and went to school full time.
The second year, I got lucky and didn’t have to have a job. It would have made things easier if I did, but in order to graduate when I wanted too, hubs worked and I got to stay home.
Speaking of which.
I took my last final today! Barring no massive upset, I WALK THE STAGE THURSDAY!
Can I get a what what?!
It’s an amazing feeling, but I’m still tentative because I’m waiting on one more grade. I’m always the person who’s waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Anyways, trying to think positive!
Provided all goes well I start at the new University in January. I plan to progress with my education, because I want to learn more, and eventually embed myself in the writing world permanently. That’s right folks, ain’t getting rid of me. 😉
If you’ve been watching #WWWriting you know we’ve got a lot of stuff in store! We hope you’ll be watching and participating with us. PS you should also enter the rafflecopter as we’re giving away two query critiques and two mugs with the #WWWriting logo on it! Yeah I’m using that hashtag a lot. Trying to make it a thing. 😀
There’s so much going on that sometimes I just feel like I don’t know which way to turn, but it definitely keeps things exciting.
I’m looking forward to great things in 2015, and I hope you guys are too.
Have a wildly creative New Year!
